Mia Zebitz Larsen

Mia Zebitz Larsen is a trained ceramicist from the Royal Danish Academy's design school on Bornholm. With her handbuilt figures and use of symbolic elements, she creates little narratives with her work. The inspiration comes from everyday life, experiences and dreams, influenced by her great interest in mythology and folklore.

Mia has a passion for woodfiring, a slow and labourous process where the work is fired in special kilns using only wood as fuel. The fire and ashes together creates entirely unique surfaces that are only possible in that particular firing.
